Suggestions on possibly re-creating a recipe made by accident.?

The flavor added by the salsa was probably a little heat. Apples go well with a little hot spice. I would add a little nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, or Ancho, or Chipotle Powder . I always add my Jamaican Jerk Spice Blend to apple chutney, and the heat works out real well.
